Welch Allyn Employees Give Auburn A Hand
Through a company campaign to help its neighbors called a "Show Of Hands", employees of this leading manufacturer of diagnostic medical equipment in nearby Skaneateles Falls, spent Friday, July 23, helping out several agencies.
Nicole Hulik, an employee of Welch Allyn, spearheaded the team assigned to the Auburn Beautification Commission. She worked with fellow ABC Board Member Christina Selvek and city staff to identify key areas poised to benefit immediately from several hours of physical labor by these workers
They made significant improvements in Benton Street Playground, Pomeroy Park, and the Exchange Street Mall.

The City of Auburn's relationship with the Auburn Beautification Commission continues with the "Adopt a Spot" program. This is an chance for businesses and individuals to plant flowers, foliage and landscaping on city-owned locations. The sponsoring business or individual will be identified by signage at the site. ABC will coordinate these efforts with the interested participants, the City of Auburn and the Commission. This is another opportunity to improve the visual appearance and quality of life in our community.

| 2010 Summer Concert Series |
Auburn's Parks and Recreation Departments is booked for the season with music for the whole family. Jazz, blues, and classic rock, and many old favorite tunes. Clifford Park, Hoopes Park, Market St. Park, and Casey Park will all be part of the fun. The schedule also includes “Music and a Movie” nights with movies that will entertain the young and the younger. We hope to you will enjoy the music and Auburn City Parks.

| New Activities This Summer at Casey Park
Auburn YMCA-WEIU announces new programs |
| Though Casey Park is a city-owned facility, the YMCA runs much of the programming at the park. On top of the normal activities like swimming and Little League baseball, the YMCA will offer tennis leagues, ultimate frisbee and water polo for the first time this summer.
The Casey Park ice rink will have artificial turf on the floor for the second year, and indoor lacrosse and soccer leagues will play at the facility. More information and schedules are available in the 2010 Summer Brochure.
