The city offers attractions related to the Civil War, Underground Railroad, Black History, American Art History, Women’s Rights and more.

Art Around Auburn

The Auburn Beautification Commission is hoping to build on the momentum created by downtown Auburn's transformation over the past few years by adding large scale, outdoor artwork and sculpture to buildings and open spaces in the downtown area and hopefully throughout all of Auburn.

To kick off the search they are looking for an interpretive or abstract piece based upon the theme of "Auburn, History's Hometown". The commission will select an artist to complete a their piece, which will be displayed on Exchange Street in downtown Auburn.

Application Deadline is Wednesday February 17th 2010.
